Camera crews from HBO’s Hard Knocks certainly aren’t hurting for content in the opening days of the New York Jets’ training camp.

Multiple media reports claimed three fights erupted during Saturday’s practice, with one of them being caught on camera.

According to The Athletic, the first fight came around 11:15 a.m. ET on the right side of the offensive line “but was ended quickly.”

Moments later, however, the left side of the offensive line erupted in a fight.

Second-year defensemen Jermaine Johnson and Michael Clemons were caught on camera fighting tight ends Kenny Yeboah and Jeremy Ruckert.

Johnson and Clemons then participated in another fight with offensive linemen, marking the third and final fisticuffs of the day.

Fights in training camp are nothing new to the NFL. However, it is rare to see three media-worthy incidents in a single day of training camp.

While head coach Robert Salah no doubt likes to see some fight in his players, it’s possible he might also be concerned with the frequency of fights affecting the team’s overall chemistry.

The coaching staff certainly has enough on its plate already in trying to acclimate former Super Bowl champion quarterback Aaron Rodgers into the fold. Luckily for Jets fans, Rodgers was far away from the preseason fights.
