It’s no real secret that the New England Patriots have struggled to move the ball through the air and score touchdowns this season. It’s also no secret that Dallas Cowboys cornerback DaRon Bland has been a game-changing ballhawk with his many pick-sixes. But when you compare the touchdown numbers between the Patriots wide receiver and Bland, it’s pretty jarring.
As New England Patriots reporter Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald points out, DaRon Bland actually has the same number of touchdowns this season as all of the Patriots wide receivers in total.
“DaRon Bland has as many touchdowns this season (5) as all #Patriots WRs combined,” Callahan said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
Obviously, this speaks highly to just how much of a game-breaker Bland has been this season for the Dallas Cowboys, but it’s also pretty horrible news for the Patriots as it highlights just how awful the team’s passing offense has been this season.
In any case, the jarring stat certainly led to a lot of reactions on social media as fans absolutely blasted the Patriots.

It’s safe to say that the Patriots will want to fix their passing game as soon as possible.
