Following his team’s 19-12 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, it appeared that Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy took his frustrations out and shoved a cameraman on his way off the field on Sunday.

Now, the cameraman at the center of the incident is speaking out, offering a different perspective on the situation.
“Thank you to everyone that has reached out regarding the Mike McCarthy incident,” Emmy award-winning photojournalist for NBC 5 Sports, Noah Bullard, wrote in a tweet. “I can see how the photo appeared like he pushed me but it was more of a hand to the lens. I did meet with coach McCarthy privately in his office and he did apologize.”
The video, tweeted out by Bullard, offers a clearer picture of what transpired during the postgame incident.
Regardless of his intent, McCarthy offered his apologies for the incident in a private conversation with Bullard. McCarthy had plenty to answer for his coaching decisions as is, but he made sure to get out in front of what happened as he exited the field Sunday.
