Micah Parsons is in the middle of a contract dispute with the Dallas Cowboys as he seeks an extension. However, Parsons still elected to attend training camp as a full participant rather than hold out, which led to many being surprised by team owner Jerry Jones’ comments on the matter.
“Cowboys owner Jerry Jones randomly takes a shot at Micah Parsons, saying even if they sign him, it doesn’t mean they’ll have him, because he was hurt for 6 games last year (fact check: he only missed 4), He then also says they made Dak Prescott the richest player in football — and he missed two-thirds of the year, “ NFL insider Ari Meirov reported.
It would appear that Jones had a point, however.
“Cowboys DE Micah Parsons said he’s dealing with back tightness. ‘It’s something that I feel is going to hold me back, so I just need to rehab.’ Parsons said his agent has reached out to the Cowboys and now it’s up to Dallas to return the call,” reported The Athletic’s Jon Machota.

“He’s not better than Watt, Garrett, or Crosby. Making him highest paid in the league is crazy,” someone else added.
“Every year i think i cant not like the joneses any more and then they do what they do and i am like welp I guess I was wrong,” another fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if a contract extension can aid in Parsons’ recovery.
