The Miami Dolphins have one of the most exciting and lethal offenses in the NFL when they are at full health. Unfortunately, staying at full health has proven to be a problem for the Dolphins, especially for star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and dangerous wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
If Miami can stay healthy this season, they have a real shot at making a deep postseason run. Unfortunately, the regular season has yet to arriv,e and the Dolphins are already being forced to rule out a running back for the season.
“Dolphins RB Alexander Mattison has a neck injury that requires surgery, per sources. He’s expected to make a full recovery but will be out for the 2025 season. Has full strength and motion. Seven-year vet was having a quality camp in Miami,” ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported on Monday.
Fans reacted to the tough break on social media.
“The only guy who consistently converted short yardage in camp,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“This sucks! Mattison was running hard and looked good. Hoping for a speedy recovery, what a brutal injury,” someone else wrote.
“This hurts. Hope he is ok, was looking forward to see what he could do. This really opens the door for Ollie Gordon though,” another fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Dolphins have yet another year derailed by injuries to the offense.
