The Las Vegas Raiders are looking to instill a winning culture after welcoming in legendary figures Tom Brady and Pete Carroll into the organization. It would appear that the Raiders are extremely serious about that culture, as the franchise shockingly released Christian Wilkins.

Christian Wilkins reportedly had an ‘incident’ with a teammate that led to his release by the #Raiders, league sources tell (Josina Anderson). Sources within the team are being careful and won’t leak many details. One says ‘it was weird… like, a very weird incident,'” reported Nick Walters on Monday.

Then, ESPN’s Adam Schefter followed up with more details.

“From speaking to people inside the Raiders locker room… They say that Christian Wilkins playfully went to kiss a teammate on the top of his head.. They say that player took offense to it and that’s what everybody has been dancing around.”

Fans reacted to the strange news on social media.

“Not a chance in hell a kiss on the head would set someone off like that. He’s done more, clearly. This was just the straw that broke the camels back,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“He’s been doing this weird asf stuff since Clemson days. There is plenty of video out there to see what he does,” one fan added.

“Ummm…sorry, but this player has issues. He frequently tried to put hands on Josh Allen’s groin during games when he played for the Dolphins. There’s a pattern of behavior that is unacceptable here,” someone else added.

It’ll be interesting to see where Wilkins goes from here.
