Tom Brady and Pete Carroll are members of the Las Vegas Raiders organization now, and both are hoping to instill a winning and lasting culture in the desert, something the franchise has been desperately lacking going back to its days in Oakland.

Apprennety, the franchise decided that one player wasn’t a good fit for that culture after a strange incident in the locker room over training camp.

Christian Wilkins reportedly had an ‘incident’ with a teammate that led to his release by the #Raiders, league sources tell (Josina Anderson). Sources within the team are being careful and won’t leak many details. One says ‘it was weird… like, a very weird incident,'”Nick Walters said on Monday.

Then, ESPN’s Adam Schefter followed up with more details regarding the incident.

“From speaking to people inside the Raiders locker room… They say that Christian Wilkins playfully went to kiss a teammate on the top of his head.. They say that player took offense to it and that’s what everybody has been dancing around.”

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Ummm…sorry, but this player has issues. He frequently tried to put hands on Josh Allen’s groin during games when he played for the Dolphins. There’s a pattern of behavior that is unacceptable here,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Yall really reaching here. Vegas signed that man to a big contract, now regret it and looked for the first opportunity to dump (him). Nothing new here,” someone else added.

“None of this makes sense. He just kissed him on the head and they RELEASED him for it? There’s definitely more to this that we’re not being told,” another fan wrote.

It’ll be interesting to see if we get Wilkins’ side of what transpired.
