As soon as former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll was announced as the head coach of the New York Giants, many assumed that Ken Dorsey would follow him. Turns out, Dorsey is going to replace him instead.
The Bills announced on Tuesday that they are promoting Dorsey, the quarterback’s coach, to offensive coordinator for next season.
“The Bills have their new offensive play-caller,” the team announced. “After reportedly interviewing a few outside candidates in the last several days, Buffalo came back to the man who has coached the team’s quarterbacks for the last three seasons naming Ken Dorsey their new offensive coordinator.”
Dorsey has been with the Bills since 2019. He previously worked as a quarterbacks coach for the Carolina Panthers for five seasons.
It’s a huge boost for quarterback Josh Allen, who gets to continue working with a coach he trusts and who has helped him in his development in the NFL. And perhaps the only people more excited than Allen by the news would be Buffalo Bills fans and teammates.

There were people who thought Ken Dorsey would take the Giants OC job over this lol.
Be Josh Allen’s OC for 2 years & become a head coach. He will make you look like a genius. This ain’t rocket science. https://t.co/Q0SDmWfYol

The reactions from other corners of the NFL social media world were about excitement and how this decision ultimately made a lot of sense for both Dorsey and the Bills.

The Bills are coming off an impressive 11-6 season in which they won the AFC East and nearly defeated the Kansas City Chiefs to get back to the AFC Championship Game. Despite losing Daboll to the Giants, the franchise is primed to repeat its success next season and the Dorsey/Allen combo is going to be a big part of the hype.
