Normally, getting drafted is a thrilling experience for a player. A player hearing his name called will often express jubilation for the culmination of a lifelong dream, relief at finally getting picked or some combination of the two.
Then there’s Keion White.
The New England Patriots used the 15th pick of the second round, No. 46 overall, to select White, a defensive end out of Georgia Tech. The camera then quickly panned to White, following the draft at home. Some of the people around him seemed happy.
But judging by the look on his face, White was not excited to be going to New England.
Football fans had many theories, though several believed that White and his new coach, Bill Belichick will be fast friends.
An … understated reaction. https://t.co/3C320IpT0b

Someone thinks they waited too long to hear their name called. The rest of the league could be on notice #ForeverNE https://t.co/jcUnqB9xKq

Indeed, White was in Kansas City on Thursday night, seemingly thinking that he’d be a first-rounder. So, his facial reactions (or lack thereof) likely are more a matter of him being upset about falling so far rather than going to New England. When you’re expecting to get taken in the first round, going in the middle of the second round is a shock.
Still, you would think that he might be more relieved than upset after finally getting drafted.
