The Kansas City Chiefs put on a comeback for the ages so far against the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round. Down 24-0 early in the 2nd quarter, the Chiefs rattled off 31 consecutive points to take the lead and have now extended it to 48-31 early in the fourth quarter.
This game is going to be remembered for a lot of things. Bill O’Brien’s momentum-swinging decision to kick a field goal on 4th and 1 from the KC 13-yard-line. The Texan’s terrible fake punt and helped set the comeback in motion. Patrick Mahomes and Co. trotting down the field for touchdown after touchdown in a short amount of time.
And here’s one more thing that’s bound to live on from today. Mahones hit Blake Bell for his fifth touchdown pass on the day to put the Chiefs up by 17. Bell ran for the fans in the endzone to do some celebrating and he was joined by a few other players, including tackle Eric Fisher, who grabbed two beers from the stands and immediately pulled a Stone Cole Steve Austin beer celebration, smacking the cans together, and dousing himself in the suds.
Here’s a closer look at the amazing beer salute.
Just in case you’re too cool (or uncool) to get the reference…

In fact, the man himself posted the video with the Stone Cold entrance music. #GOAT
Hopefully, there are no shenanigans from the NFL office over the move. Clearly it was done in good fun and, let’ face it, the NFL loves them some beer sponsors. We can’t imagine anyone at Budweiser is unhappy about the moment.
