The Chicago Bears are in the envious position heading into the NFL offseason, holding the rights to the first overall pick in the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft. However, this has led to rumors of the team potentially drafting a quarterback with the pick and trading star quarterback, Justin Fields.
Fields discussed the rumors on the Rich Eisen Show on Thursday. He revealed that he has not been told anything by the Bears organization about their plans for the draft pick.
“No, not really,” said Fields when asked if he and the Bears have spoken. “After the season we had our exit meetings. We talked about what we could have done in the building to improve and what I need to work on in the offseason.” tin Fields
Has @JustnFields heard all the talk that the @ChicagoBears might use the first overall pick on a QB and trade him? Have the Bears told him anything yet on their draft plans at all? Check out his answers

Fields was then asked if he wants to be kept up to speed on the plan with the top overall draft pick. His response was that he wanted “honesty” from the Bears organization.
“For sure, I think everyone would love honesty in the process. I would definitely like to know that. It’s a business so I totally understand, no hard feelings. I control what I can control, my work ethic and how I carry myself each and every day.
Bears fans certainly took notice of this interview. The majority certainly support Fields and hope that he is the quarterback of the future in Chicago.
Incredibly collected and mature throughout the entire questioning by Eisen, who has oddly taken a pretty sharp route last two interviews with these young QBs.
Either way, Fields aced it. Awesome stuff. https://t.co/rbWWtepnJ2

It’s the little things with QBs. He has swagger and work ethic. He will be fine as long as management does their job https://t.co/F9XsH5qiJ8

Fields handled this flawlessly https://t.co/OjhbSH4LMt

Really loved everything Justin had to say here. Especially the part where he thinks he’s still got a lot to improve on. He’s just got the right mindset for a great QB
Also I’m not worrying at all about the draft stuff seems like he knows the deal. https://t.co/ORGdiNjsye

Despite some injuries down the stretch of the season, Justin Fields had some massive bright spots in his second NFL season.
Bears GM Ryan Poles made it clear that Chicago would “need to be blown away” by a quarterback prospect to ultimately move on from Fields.
There are some very intriguing quarterback prospects at the top of the NFL Draft. But only the Bears front office seems to ultimately know what they will do with the selection.
