When a quarterback enters the NFL, they typically have to do a lot of work in the film room to help prepare themselves for the NFL game. But apparently, that’s not what former first-round pick Johnny Manziel did when he was with the Cleveland Browns.

In the new Untold: Johnny Football documentary on Netflix, Manziel’s former agent Erik Burkhardt details a conversation he had with then-Cleveland Browns general manager Ray Farmer during which Farmer informed him that Johnny Manziel didn’t watch film during his time with the team.

“Their GM’s calling me going ‘He doesn’t watch tape,'” Burkhardt said in the documentary. “And I’m like ‘Well, he’s gotta watch *some* tape.’ And he’s like ‘E.B., his iPad hours are 0.00.'”

Manziel himself corroborated this claim as the camera quickly flashed to him. He held his hand up and made a “0” with his hand as he said bluntly: “Zero.”

Obviously, this is pretty horrible news in hindsight, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on social media.

There are many reasons why Manziel’s NFL career did not pan out the way he or the Browns had hoped, but this is probably a major one.
