When a college quarterback gets to the NFL, he obviously has to do a lot of extra work in the film room to help prepare himself mentally for the NFL game, no matter how talented or dominant he was at the college level. But apparently, former Cleveland Browns first-round pick Johnny Manziel did not think that applied to him.

In the new Netflix documentary Untold: Johnny Football, one segment reveals a brutal truth about just how little time Johnny Manziel spent studying film during his time with the Cleveland Browns: Zero.

In the clip, Manziel’s former agent Erik Burkhardt remembers a conversation he had with Cleveland Browns’ general manager Ray Farmer. As Burkhardt recalls, Farmer informed him that Johnny Manziel didn’t watch any film during his time with the team.

“Their GM’s calling me going ‘He doesn’t watch tape,'” Burkhardt said in the documentary. “And I’m like ‘Well, he’s gotta watch *some* tape.’ And he’s like ‘E.B., his iPad hours are 0.00.'”

The worse part is, Manziel himself totally corroborates the story.

Following Burkhardt’s retelling of his conversation with Farmer, the camera then flashes to Manziel who makes a “0” with his hand before saying “Zero” to describe how much film he studied while with the Browns.

That’s certainly not a way to be successful in the league.
