The Cincinnati Bengals have a lot of young stars like star quarterback Joe Burrow and star receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Unfortunately for them, that means that all of them will be needing new long-term contracts at the same time, which could be difficult given the salary cap limitations. But it sounds like Joe Burrow is willing to work around all of that to make sure his teammates are paid.
During a press conference this week, Joe Burrow revealed that he has decided to make the upcoming contracts for his key teammates a “focal point” for him as he goes through his own contract negotiations with the Cincinnati Bengals.
“Whenever you have guys on the team that need to be paid that’s always on your mind. You want that to be a focal point. So we’re working to make that happen,” Burrow said during his press conference.
It’s certainly a big decision from Burrow to look out for his teammates and the long-term future of the team during his contract negotiations, and the NFL world had plenty to say about the move on Twitter.
Joe Burrow vs His Agent might be a bigger rivalry than him vs. Mahomes… https://t.co/v2eWT1jXXh

It will certainly be interesting to see how the Bengals are able to navigate the salary keep and keep all this young talent together for as long as possible.
