Joe Burrow has quickly made a name for himself in the NFL. The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback rebounded from tearing his ACL in his rookie season in a huge way. In the last two seasons, Burrow has led the lowly Bengals to back-to-back AFC Championship Game appearances. He also helped drive them to Super Bowl LVI, the team’s first appearance in the Super Bowl since the 1988-89 season.
So it’s not surprising that lately, many have declared that Burrow can challenge the throne for Best QB. Patrick Mahomes almost unanimously sits atop that throne right now. The two-time NFL MVP and two-time Super Bowl MVP has had an incredible run since 2018.
But if you ask former NFL quarterback Carson Palmer, the former Heisman Trophy winner has his pick: Joey B.
“I think Joe is the best quarterback in the league,” Palmer said on his brother Jordan’s podcast, The QB Room, via Cincy Jungle. “I know Patrick [Mahomes] is phenomenal, but I just think Joe’s more consistent. He’s more consistent. He’s more accountable to run the system and the play that’s called and not feel like, ‘Well, he didn’t win last time and get open for me, so I’m gonna do it with my feet,’ and then before you know it, you’re sacked for a four-yard loss because you tried to make two or three guys miss.”
Palmer praised Burrow’s mental and physical toughness, accuracy, arm strength, and his quickness, among other things.
The NFL world reacted to the bold Joe Burrow opinion.
