Cincinnati Bengal fans can breathe a sigh of relief for now. The Athletic is reporting that Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was seen at practice Wednesday with his helmet and shoulder pads on.

As many know, Burrow hurt his calf in practice early in training camp and hasn’t played in any pre-season games so far this year.

Burrow returned to practice and was taking snaps from under center without much of a notable issue, his first padded session of the summer since the injury.

All of this also confirms that Burrow most likely will start week 1 against the Cleveland Browns, a team he has only beaten once so far in his career.

The Bengals also signed former Dallas Cowboys backup Will Grier to their practiced squad behind Burrow and Jake Browning. This also may mean that last year’s backup Trevor Siemian probably won’t be returning.

But the big news is the Burrow sighting. Many in Bengals camp were worried that Burrow may not be back in time to start the season, but clearly, unless something else happens, he will be able to play.

It also doesn’t hurt that the NFL season doesn’t start until next week, giving Burrow a few days of practice to get into rhythm before the Bengals kick off the season.
