The Cincinnati Bengals shocked many back in September when they released former Dallas Cowboys star La’el Collins. Luckily, it doesn’t seem like Collins will be a free agent for too much longer, as two teams in need of offensive line help have already reached out to Collins.

Collins was on the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) list at the time of his release as he was recovering from a number of knee injuries suffered last season.

But it now seems like he is at the very least healthy enough to work out for both the New York Giants and the New York Jets.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Collins worked out with the Jets on Tuesday. Mike Garafalo of NFL Network later reported that the Giants will host a workout for Collins on Wednesday.

For the Jets, the move makes a ton of sense considering they just lost versatile starting lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker to a torn Achilles injury in Week 5, who had played both guard and tackle at various points of the year.

And for the Giants, their offensive line has been a complete disaster this season. Starting quarterback Daniel Jones has been sacked 29 times this year. That is the second most of any quarterback in the league only behind Washington Commanders quarterback Sam Howell.

Either one of those teams could greatly benefit from a player like Collins, who started at right tackle for the Cowboys for the majority of his six-year tenure with the team.
