Over the past several months, it’s become very clear that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is interested in purchasing the Washington Commanders franchise. But unfortunately for him, it’s also become very clear that current Commanders team owner Dan Snyder has no interest in selling it to him. But it looks like that could be changing.
Though Jeff Bezos has tried to place a bid on the team, Dan Snyder has blocked him, presumably due to a feud between the two after The Washington Post – which is owned by Bezos – published a series exposing Snyder and the team’s toxic management.
But The New York Post recently reported that Bezos has made a major, signing a confidentiality agreement that could make it more likely that he is able to finally bid on the team.
“Meanwhile, Snyder nemesis Jeff Bezos recently signed a confidentiality agreement, signaling he may finally be allowed to enter the bidding process, sources close to Bezos told The Post. It was not clear whether Bezos inked the confidentiality pact with Snyder or the NFL.”
Snyder has been seeking a $6 billion bid in order to sell the Washington Commanders. And it’s looking like Bezos might be one of the few people who could actually give it to him – that is, if he’s allowed to bid on it.
