The New York Giants have moved on from former franchise quarterback Daniel Jones. As the franchise looks to its new future, it has brought in three big names this offseason to fill up the quarterback room.

Veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston signed in free agency, and the Giants selected former Ole Miss Rebel Jaxson Dart in the 2025 NFL draft. On Wednesday, head coach Brian Daboll announced who the starter would be for the 2025 season.

Russell Wilson is the clear cut starter for the #Giants. ‘These guys will be out here competing but Russ is our starter,’ Brian Daboll said,” reported Jordan Raanan.

However, the other quarterbacks will still get work in throughout training camp. Unfortunately, for Dart, his debut didn’t quite go according to plan.

“Jaxson Dart’s first pass in 11-on-11 drills is a pick-six in red zone. Nic Jones there. Didn’t look like Dart saw him,” reported Connor Hughes on Twitter.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“We all know Darts sitting this season. Russ is the centerpiece of the rebuild. Everyone around the QB has a chance to get much better when he’s leading the offense,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“All part of the learning process,” another fan added.

“Give the kid time. No need to rush him,” added someone else.

It’ll be interesting to see if Dart can take the starting job from Wilson this season.
