21. Eagles (18): Admirable of WR Jalen Reagor to face the media music after he probably dropped two TD passes Sunday. Less admirable that Philly is putting him in that position and not going to rookie DeVonta Smith instead. Syndication The Record

The Philadelphia Eagles have been dealing with a nightmare day on Sunday in their Wild Card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Down 17-0 at halftime, the Bucs have essentially put the game away in the second half, leading 31-15 in the middle of the fourth quarter.

While there will be plenty of topics of discussion on Monday on Philly sports radio stations, the hands of Jalen Reagor will no doubt be taking up plenty of airtime given his many issues dealing with punt returns during the game.

Back when the Bucs led 17-0 in the third quarter, the Eagles still had a shot to get back in the game as Tampa punted the ball to them with decent field position. However, Reagor muffed the punt and the Bucs recovered, which eventually led to a back-breaking touchdown.

That was bad enough but, later on, when the Eagles still could consider the possibility of a magical comeback, Reagor fielded another punt just outside of the endzone, muffing it again and killing any chance at a good return.

Drops and hands issues are nothing new for Reagor, who has been frustrating Eagles fans during the season. However, his inability to field punts at this critical time with the season on the line is the kind of thing that gets guys run out of town. And in the meantime, Philly fans and NFL folks were not pleased with his performance via social media.

We’ll see if Reagor still has a job with the Eagles next week. Given his performance on Sunday and the reaction to it, it seems fairly unlikely for the former first-rounder.
