The NFL draft is only weeks away. Franchises and their fans are excited about the opportunity to see where the next generation of NFL stars land. However, this year’s class of quarterback prospects has been widely regarded as one of the weaker ones in recent memory.

Former Colorado Buffalo Shedeur Sanders and Miami Hurricane Cam Ward have been viewed my most analysts as the two best prospects in this class at the position. However, there is some news that indicates at least one front office may view things differently, shaking up what many thought was an easy evaluation for this year’s quarterback class.

Jalen Milroe, a dual-threat quarterback and former star of the Alabama Crimson Tide, who has been largely widely as a developmental prospect rather than a ready-made pro, was invited to the first night of the draft, according to one draft analyst.

“Source: Alabama QB Jalen Milroe has accepted an invitation to attend the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay,” reported The Athletic’s Dane Brugler.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“For everyone in the comments for the last few years the invited players who they believe will be drafted high for night 2. I believe one player didn’t show up because he was projected to go the next night,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Steelers 100% taking him if they don’t trade up for someone else in r1. Tomlin has probably fallen in love with this guy like most of his other below average draft selections,” one fan speculated.

“He just set himself up for embarrassment. No way he is drafted in the first two rounds,” another person added.

It’ll be interesting to see where Milroe ends up being selected.
