Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe speaks to the media at the 2025 NFL combine.

The NFL draft is only a couple of weeks away, and fans and organizations are excited about their chances of selecting the new faces of the league. However, this has been widely regarded as one of the weaker draft classes for the quarterback position in recent memory.

Former Miami Hurricane Cam Ward and former Colorado Buffalo Shedeur Sanders have been nearly unanimously viewed as the best quarterbacks available, but there’s been a shocking development.

Former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe, viewed widely as a developmental prospect rather than a ready-made pro, was invited to the first night of the draft, according to one prominent draft analyst.

“Source: Alabama QB Jalen Milroe has accepted an invitation to attend the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay,” reported The Athletic’s Dane Brugler.

There’s a good chance that this is an indication that a team plans to select Milroe much earlier than expected. Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“The fact they are supposedly only inviting 8-10 players this year. That is majorly significant,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Baltimore is going to draft him and use him in different packages as a ‘weapon’ more than a QB,” one fan speculated.

“I feel bad putting this type of pressure on Jalen Milroe. He’s a great kid of needs time and the right coach,” another fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see if Milroe gets selected earlier than expected or if he turns into a meme after not being selected.
