On Thursday, the NFL announced its international slate for next season.
The league is scheduled to play five games in Europe in 2023.
According to NBC’s Pro Football Talk, the league has announced that the Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars will be designated home teams for the games in London, which will take place at both the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Wembley Stadium. The Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots will be the designated home teams for the two games that will take place in Germany, but those locations have yet to be determined.
In February 2022, the NFL announced that Munich and Frankfurt would host four International Series games from 2022-25. In Week 13 of the 2022 NFL season, the Seattle Seahawks faced off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Allianz Arena — home of FC Bayern Munich.
While team’s home and away opponents for the 2023 season have already been locked in, the league has yet to determine the opponents and dates for the five international games. That will come at a later date; likely when the league releases the schedule for the 2023-24 season this April.
Pro Football Talk mentions that the NFL will not be returning to Mexico City in 2023, as renovations are set to take place at Estadio Azteca. Those five games will be the only international ones the NFL will play next season, with all of them taking place in Europe.
