For the first time since the 2000 season, the Houston Texans are rolling out some new uniforms ahead of the 2024 NFL season.
On Tuesday, the team officially unveiled four new uniform combinations – home, away, alternate, and Color Rush. The home and away uniforms look like modernized versions of the uniforms they’ve worn for the past two decades with a new font and shoulder sleeves, but the alternate uniforms and the Color Rush uniforms are a totally different look.
The red alternate uniforms include a brand new red helmet while the blue Color Rush uniforms will include a new helmet with a light blue “H” on the side.
“Today, for the first time since 2000, we are so proud to reveal our new uniforms. They are even more special because they are inspired by and for our fans,” Houston Texans Chair and CEO Cal McNair said in the announcement on Tuesday. “Our fans asked us to be more H-Town and we delivered. They were with us every step of the way and there’s truly something for everyone over the four uniforms.”
We’ll have to see how the new uniforms look when the team wears them on the field for this upcoming season.
