The Houston Texans are looking for a major bounceback from young quarterback C.J. Stroud. After an incredible rookie season, Stroud’s second campaign in the NFL saw the young athlete come back down to earth somewhat.
Unfortunately, it’s looking as if Stroud will have one less weapon at his disposal than he anticipated coming into camp, after one of the Texans’ tight ends suffered a gruesome injury in Monday’s practice, per one team insider.
“TE Brevin Jordan is hurt. It’s not good. He went up to catch a pass and hurt his knee. He’s couldn’t put weight on it. He was carted off. He’s legit crying loudly. Was even shouting “NO!” He tore his ACL last year. It’s very somber in the bubble,” DJ Bien-Aime reported.
Bien-Aime followed up with a report that Stroud had to be consoled, and fans reacted to the extremely unfortunate development on social media.
“Guy has so much damn potential ever since we drafted him been one of my favorite players get well soon bruv,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Prayers up for him, man. These guys know their bodies very well so that’s brutal,” someone else added.
“Kills me man. Absolutely kills me. This was supposed to be his comeback season. Praying it isn’t as severe as it sounds,” one fan added.
Hopefully, Jordan makes a full recovery and can eventually return to playing the game he loves.
