Throughout his NFL career, Tom Brady developed a sort of relationship with former United States President Donald Trump. Especially early in his career, Brady was seen playing golf with him on a number of occasions and famously had a red “Make American Great Again” hat in his locker back in 2015.
Even though the relationship between Trump and Brady seems to have dried up a little bit, it was clear that Brady was at one time a Trump supporter, and his now ex-wife Gisele Bündchen addressed that in a recent interview.
This week, Gisele gave an extremely candid interview with Michelle Ruiz of Vanity Fair Magazine where she opened up about her relationship and divorce with star quarterback Tom Brady. During the interview, Gisele was asked about what led to the couple’s divorce after 13 years of marriage. She was specifically asked if Brady’s affinity for Donald Trump had anything to do with it.
“Bündchen also dismisses digital murmurs that politics—namely, the MAGA hat spotted in Brady’s locker in 2015—drove a wedge. ‘Never,’ she tells me,” Ruiz wrote of Vanity Fair this week.
While Gisele may not have shared Brady’s political views, it’s clear that she respected them enough that it did not cause a rift in their marriage.
