The Dallas Cowboys may have a serious case in saying that they now have the top wide receiver duo in the NFL after trading for former Pittsburgh Steelers star George Pickens this offseason.
Pickens, along with incumbent number one receiver CeeDee Lamb, are sure to be keep defensive coordinators awake at night as they try to develop game plans to slow the pair down. Now, Pickens is discussing just how lethal the pair can be.
“CeeDee’s a certain type of guy. And then I’m a certain type of guy. So when you mesh that together, it’s like Mario Bros. We definitely can do something special,” he said, according to The Athletic’s Jon Machota.
Pickens was also asked about the the split personality he has on and off the field.
“Yeah, I definitely don’t want to go on the field and try to be a princess or anything. I’m definitely gonna try to play football. Off the field, I’m a definitely a different person. I can’t be a football player all the time.”
Fans reacted to Pickens’ takes on social media.
“Good attitude hope he plays as well,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Aw man the Mario brothers I like the analogy lowkey,” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see what sort of havoc the duo wreaks on opposing defenses.
