United States President Donald Trump was giving a speech in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, when he welcomed two Steelers, Mason Rudolph and Miles Killebrew, to join him on the stage.

It was on the same stage that a former Steelers legend, Rocky Bleier, presented President Trump with a number 47 Steelers jersey, a nod to Trump serving as the 47th President of the United States, and told Trump that the President was now a member of the organization forever.

“I have the honor of making you an honorary Steeler,” Bleier said, per TribLive.

Fans reacted to Bleier bestowing the honor on social media.

“It’s called respect for the highest official in America. I don’t care which political affiliation you align with, neither side is perfect! People should show dignity and pride in our Country. Let’s bring back RESPECT for ALL!” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“That’s an official jersey, no? AR2 must be on board Trump just approved the deal that will keep the steel industry in Pittsburgh. Regardless of how anyone feels about the guy, considering the connection between IS Steel and the Steelers, it’s hard to get mad about this,” another fan added.

“Rocky went to war . Trump did the trump thing . Can’t believe he gave him a Steeler jersey with 47. Mel Blunt should smack Rocky in the mouth,” someone else wrote.

It’ll be interesting to see if Trump roots for the Steelers over the course of the upcoming season now.
