As one of the most dynamic wide receivers in the NFL, DK Metcalf often wows fans with his play on the field.
But it was a moment following the Seattle Seahawks 29-26 victory over the Washington Commanders on Sunday that had fans buzzing about the star wideout.
As captured by NFL Films, Commanders tight end Logan Thomas approached Metcalf following the Week 10 matchup. After telling each other “Good game,” Thomas proceeded to inform the Ole Miss product that he has a big supporter in his son.
“Hey, I know it might not mean nothing, but my son’s a big fan,” Thomas said. “He’s 15, built just like you, bro. Keep doing your thing, bro.”
After telling the veteran tight end “thank you,” Metcalf proceeded to give him the shirt off his back — literally — signing his game-worn jersey for Thomas’ son.
The heartwarming moment between the two pass-catchers on opposing teams was shared on CW’s Inside the NFL.
Having appeared in eight games this season, the 25-year-old Metcalf has caught 35 passes for 552 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, the 32-year-old Thomas has tallied 38 receptions for 351 yards and three scores.
After the touching postgame moment between the two players went viral on Tuesday, many took to social media to weigh in.
