When Derwin James’ NFL career comes to an end, a career in professional wrestling may be in his future. If that’s the case, we’re pretty sure that he’ll be using the spinebuster as his finishing move. If you don’t believe us, ask Travis Kelce.
Late in the third quarter of Thursday’s game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes found Kelce wide open. The Kansas City tight end caught the ball and sprinted towards the end zone. He got close but ran into James. The Pro Bowl safety proceeded to pick Kelce up above his shoulders and dropped him onto the field.
Arn Anderson in his prime years with the Four Horsemen could not have done that spinebuster any better. Also, keep in mind, Kelce is not a small man. He’s 6-foot-5, 260 pounds and was running close to full speed.
The NFL world was impressed by James’ tackle.

Initially, it seemed as though the tackle would simply be impressive but would also only delay the inevitable, as Kansas City had a first-and-goal from the three. But James and the rest of the Los Angeles stood tough and held the Chiefs to a field goal. So, the tackle was not only WWE tryout film worthy but also ended up being a big help to his team.
