As the NFL trade deadline fast approaches this week, there will be several teams looking to unload some assets to set themselves up for the future. Many thought one of those teams would be the Denver Broncos due to the team’s poor start to the season, but it doesn’t sound like that’s going to be the case, after all.
The Denver Broncos have now won back-to-back games and have brought their record to 3-5 on the season. And as a result, it sounds like the Broncos are going to stick with their current roster for the rest of the NFL season.
During a recent press conference, Sean Payton firmly shot down the notion that the team would be interested in shopping any player in trade talks.
“We’re not openly, or even remotely, shopping anyone,” Payton said according to Pro Football Talk.
It’s pretty surprising news for the Broncos to be content with their roster given how much the team was struggling at the beginning of the season, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.

This doesn’t totally rule out the possibility of the Broncos making moves before the deadline, but it still gives a good idea of their plans.
