Over the weekend, NFL legend and current Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders had urgent surgery to repair a blood clot in his leg. But it appears that surgery went well and the football legend is recovering at home after being discharged from the hospital.

Tracey Edmonds, who is the girlfriend of Deion Sanders, shared an update on social media thanking everyone for their prayers and revealing that Prime is “doing great” after his “successful” surgery.

“We are so grateful for the healing power of God and for all of our prayer Warriors,” Edmonds wrote on Twitter. “It was a long, but successful day! He is resting and doing great tonight after his surgery! Thank you Lord! Thank you Fam! We love you!”

Sanders has had a number of health complications in recent years due to poor circulation in his legs in feet and has even had two toes in his left foot amputated as a result. Sanders also revealed last week that doctors have warned him he may need his entire foot amputated if his condition does not improve.

Following his surgery, however, Sanders revealed a more hopeful prognosis, saying that the surgery for the blood clot should improve the circulation in his foot.
