Throughout the season, Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams has been vocal in his criticism of the team’s offense, expressing displeasure at the number of targets he is receiving. And it’s safe to say that frustration struck again on Monday night.
During Monday night’s game, Davante Adams had just one catch for 11 yards. He was targeted six other times in the game and seemed to be wide open on plays that likely would have been touchdowns of 60 and 98 yards, but the passes from quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo were wildly inaccurate and did not allow him to make the catch.
Adams could be seen slamming his helmet down in frustration after the game, and he was at a loss for words during his postgame interviews.
“Honestly, I don’t know what to say at this moment. I truly don’t,” Adams said according to Pro Football Talk. “I wish I had the words to say something that’s not going to get blown up in the media and taken out of context, so I’m going to just. . . . I truly, I just don’t know.”
But that didn’t stop Adams from expressing his frustration after the game.
“It’s not hard to maintain confidence in our offense,” Adams said. “It’s just hard to curb your frustration when you can’t put it together when you know you should.”
It’s understandably been quite a frustrating season for Adams.
