Star Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams caused quite a star in the NFL world earlier this month when he was seen shoving a member of the media following a narrow loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The man filed a police report after the incident and Adams was charged with assault even though he publically apologized for the incident. So when he returned to action this week, he was sure to be extra careful.
After the Raiders’ 38-20 victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday, Davante Adams walked to the tunnel to leave the field and made quite a display, making very sure that the path was clear of all media members before proceeding back toward the locker room.
Logan Reever of 8NewsNow caught the scene on camera on Sunday afternoon.
It was quite a hilarious scene and a clear reference to all the controversy of the past several weeks. As a result, the NFL world had plenty to say about it on Twitter.
In his return to the field after the Las Vegas Raiders’ bye week, Adams had eight catches for 95 yards to help lead the team to a victory. It’s not currently clear whether or not Adams will face additional punishment from the NFL for the incident.
