Since 2018, Dak Prescott has had the same play caller in his ear with the Dallas Cowboys. But this season, that will no longer be the case with former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore moving on to the Los Angeles Chargers. With head coach Mike McCarthy now taking over play-calling duties, it will be an adjustment for Prescott.

During a press conference this week, Dak Prescott admitted that it’s “a little different” to hear McCarthy’s voice in his ear instead of Moore’s, but he’ll get used to it.

“You hear that accent a little bit more when he’s calling these plays,” Prescott joked according to Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “He called one out there today and I looked back and I go, ‘Was it the right one?’ Yeah, it was. It’s just that his accent was tough to hear.

“No, it’s been fun being able to work with him in that light, every day hands on. It’s exciting. It’s refreshing. I know he’s enjoying it, getting back into football, head first into the film and what we’re doing. It’s exciting, for sure.”

Obviously, this will cause a change in the Dallas Cowboys offense this upcoming season. It will be interesting to see whether it affects the team positively or negatively.
