Last week, Los Angeles Rams superstar wide receiver Cooper Kupp suffered an injury setback involving his hamstring last week that could keep him out for the season opener. And while Rams head coach Sean McVay is listing Kupp as “day to day” with what he described as a “strain,” it doesn’t sound like the team actually has a lot of answers yet.
According to league insider Ian Rapoport of The NFL Network, Cooper Kupp will be meeting with a “noted body specialist” to help him determine the “root of the issue.”
“#Rams star WR Cooper Kupp is in Minnesota today visiting with a noted body specialist to further understand his hamstring issue, sources say. With two pulls in one summer, the hope is to fully comprehend the root of the issue. Coach Sean McVay has described him as ‘day-to-day,'” Rapoport said in a tweet on Sunday.
It does not sound like extremely optimistic news for Kupp or the Rams as it suggest there could be more of a longterm issue with Kupp’s hamstring. As a result, the brutal news led to quite a reaction on social media.
Over 30% of training camp hamstring strains unfortunately recur. Despite all best interventions. https://t.co/y2QJZl3UZe

Kupp is still listed as “day-to-day” but it doesn’t sound like that is actually the case.
