The Cleveland Browns were forced to load up at the quarterback position this offseason. With Deshaun Watson recovering from an Achilles injury, the franchise traded with the Philadelphia Eagles for quarterback Kenny Pickett, while signing veteran Joe Flacco and drafting Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders.

Unfortunately, Pickens has been recently hampered with a hamstring injury. Now, Cleveland has made its final decison on how to proceed with the situation, per one prominent league insider.

“Browns QB Kenny Pickett injured his hamstring near the end of Saturday’s practice and is expected to re-evaluate the injury later this week, per sources. Pickett was coming off a strong couple of practices, per sources, and at least for the short term, there now will be more reps for Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders,” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Then there was a follow up on the initial news.

“Browns won’t sign another QB due to Kenny Pickett injury,” Pro Football Talk reported.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Well this is playing out right into the Browns hands. Pickett can now be traded with upside and will never take another snap in a Browns uniform. Sanders showed out and can no longer be held back,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Super Unfortunate especially in a packed QB room, he isn’t going to be there to prove him self, fire up Joe Flacco week 1,” someone else wrote.

“(You know) your team is poverty when a Pickett injury is a BAD thing,” one fan wrote.

It’ll be interesting to see if Pickett ever gets a chance to start for the Browns.
