The murky timetable for Joe Burrow’s return to action came more into focus Friday.
The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback took the Paycor Stadium field before the team’s preseason game against the Green Bay Packers and aired out some long passes and ran around without a limp, or even any wraps on his leg.
Burrow injured his calf early in training camp, and was expected to miss several weeks of action.
But as the regular season draws closer, everyone is wondering when Burrow will be ready to play. Bengals head coach Zac Taylor seemed a bit irritated when asked Wednesday where Burrow stood in his recovery, telling reporters, “It will be several weeks from when I said it will be several weeks.”
Burrow’s appearance Friday went a long way in soothing concerns about his return.
Bengals fans were obviously pleased with the development.
I still don’t want him playing 1 snap in any of these 3 games tbh

The rest of the AFC North doesn’t love it

Burrow will obviously not take the field in their first preseason game on Friday night. But it does seem like he is at the very least progressing well through his injury, which is always a good sign.
