Since he was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, wide receiver Chris Olave has emerged as a legitimate star in the league. But it looks like he could be facing a little bit of legal trouble after he was arrested on Monday.
According to a report from Nick Underhill of the NOF Network, Chris Olave was arrested for reckless operation of a motor vehicle on Tuesday night.
“Chris Olave was arrested for reckless operation of a motor vehicle tonight. He was traveling 35 mph over the posted speed limit. He did not resist and was cooperative with law enforcement,” Underhill wrote in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
“Olave was clocked going 70 in a 35,” Underhill said in a follow-up post on X.
The NFL world had a lot to say about the arrest on social media.

So far this season, Olave – a former Ohio State Buckeyes star – has 39 receptions for 471 yards and a touchdown playing with new quarterback Derek Carr.
It’s not immediately clear whether or not Olave will face punishment or repercussions from the league due to the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
