Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce is amongst the highest-paid players at his position. So you would think that someone with his vast wealth would have some kind of luxurious plan for his Thanksgiving Day meal. However, that is not the case whatsoever.
Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce spoke on their ‘New Heights‘ podcast about their Thanksgiving Day meal plans. Jason will be enjoying a pretty typical meal with his family.
Travis revealed on the other hand that he will be alone on Thanksgiving this year, meaning that there isn’t exactly a need to have some big meal. Instead, he revealed that he will be enjoying the day with food from KFC.
“I’ll be feasting on KFC because I won’t have anybody here,” said Kelce on their podcast.
Jason Kelce extended an invite to Travis to make a “quick trip” across to country to spend Thanksgiving with his family. But Travis detailed that he isn’t all that upset about spending the holiday alone. This is because he had an “awesome” Friendsgiving with his teammates earlier this week.
“We had our Friendsgiving on Saturday. It was awesome.”
Some would assume that Kelce may be spending the holiday with his girlfriend Taylor Swift. But Swift is out of the country at the moment on her “Eras Tour”, which is set to continue in São Paulo, Brazil on Black Friday, so it makes sense that Kelce will be alone.
Still, it is certainly interesting that KFC will be Kelce’s choice for this Thanksgiving Day meal. He will at least be able to get some mashed potatoes and gravy in the tradition of Thanksgiving I suppose…
