The NFL offseason has already been wild and we’re only in March. There is no shortage of mind-blowing moves as so many star players have retired and un-retired, are playing for a new team, or are staying put right where they are. Now it appears another star player is heading elsewhere.
According to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Kansas City Chiefs have given wide receiver Tyreek Hill permission to seek a trade even though the Chiefs offered Hill a contract that would make him one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL.
Pelissero added that “multiple teams have already engaged in trade talks with the Chiefs” and that they are already looking at Marquez Valdes-Scantling to potentially replace Hill. Rapoport reported that the Miami Dolphins are “a team to keep an eye on” about trading for Hill. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the New York Jets are an option in addition to the Dolphins.
As Pelissero pointed out, if Hill were to be traded he would be the ninth Pro Bowl player traded this month.
