Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has had a tumultuous offseason. Rice was involved in two arrests, one for an alleged hit-and-run, and another over an alleged assault.

Since then, trust has likely dwindled in the young receiver. These types of legal issues he’s gotten involved himself involved in are ugly, to say the very least.

Former NFL MVP Cam Newton emerged to give Rice some sage advice. Essentially, Rice can be replaced at any point, and Newton hopes he realizes that.

On his 4th and 1 Show, Newton sent a message to Rice, hoping to encourage him to deter off the path that he’s currently on.

“Playboy, sit your a– down somewhere,” Newton said. “If I were to see him, ‘Boy you too loud right now,.’ What’cha doing it for? You got kids? What’cha wanna do it for? You got family to take care of? What’cha wanna do it for? You can do that s*** out the way. Keep that s*** in perspective. Keep the main thing the main thing!”

“You over here punching photographers and driving reckless! And I know you’re young, but bro, you’re responsible for too much s*** to have that be where you put your hat on. ‘Oh he young, he’ll get it!’ By the time he get it, it’s gon’ be over with! And how many times do we see this?”

Newton had an emphatic conclusion to his spiel on Rice.

“Because I will tell you this: It’s not a person in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes included, the league don’t need you bro. Trust me. They do not need you.”

Rice, hopefully, will get his act together after this string of dispiriting and terrible incidents.
