The Buffalo Bills are looking to finally get by Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs when it matters most. Buffalo opened training camp thinking that Josh Allen was the correct quarterback to lead the franchise to the promised land.

However, health is never guaranteed in the NFL, making depth of critical importance in the NFL, especially at a position like quarterback. Unfortunately for one player who was hoping to make the roster in a backup capacity to Allen, Buffalo has decided that it’s okay with losing his services, making the decision to release him, according to one prominent NFL insider.

The #Bills are releasing QB Mike White, per source,” reported NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Dolphins should sign him back and learn the Bills playbook. Might be the only way we can beat them,” one fan wrote on Twitter, noting the Bills’ recent dominance over their division rivals, the Miami Dolphins.

“They should have let him play with the starting OL. Terrible what they did to this kid,” one fan added, referencing how the Bills deployed White in the preseason.

“Dude has an amazing arm but zero mobility,” one fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see what’s next for White in his career.
