The Cleveland Browns have had a messy offseason. It seems as if the Browns have dealt with everything from their leaders and rookies finding themselves in legal trouble to all the noise that has surrounded the franchise since drafting former Colorado Buffaloes star Shedeur Sanders in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft.

Interestingly, Sanders was one of five quarterbacks the Browns had on their roster this season, as they loaded up at the position to find their starter for the year, as Deshaun Watson works his way back from the Achilles injury that ended his season prematurely last season.

Now, the Browns have made the tough decision to let one of those quarterbacks go, according to one promient league insider.

“Browns are releasing quarterback Tyler Huntley, per source. Cleveland has been planning to keep its other four QBs — Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders — on its 53-man roster,” reported ESPN’s senior NFL insider Adam Schefter.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“So they gave the final 2 min drill reps to a QB that didn’t even last 24 hours left on their roster…smh the Browns are a disaster,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“As a Bengals fan, I for 1 am happy the Browns decided to keep 4 QBs. That’s 2 less roster spots to offense, defense or ST help,” someone else added.

“Keeping four QBs is legit one of the funniest things the Browns have ever done,” one fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Browns release another quarterback this season or stick with four on the active roster the entire year.
