On February 1st, 2022, Brian Flores sued the National Football League for years of racial discrimination in the workforce. On August 14th, after four years, a federal appeals court agreed that Flores’s case was allowed to go to open court.

A major moment in sports history, as the dark secrets of our beloved league may come to light. The NFL has had no checks and balances, as civil matters such as this have been contained within its arbitration court for years.

“We’re not rooting against the NFL, we’re rooting for the truth to come out. The problem with the secret rigged kangaroo court is you don’t know what happened, you get no access, there’s no sunlight,” expressed PFT live host Mike Florio.

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy responded by saying, “We respectfully disagree with the panel’s ruling and will be seeking further review.”

Critics have varying opinions on Flores’s future in the league following the impending suit.

“If he wins, do you think that he gets another head coaching job? If he takes this all the way, let’s say the courts agree with him. Are owners then gonna say, ‘Hey, that’s my kinda guy? He’s the coach I want leading my team?” commented sports reporter Mike Holley.

In what’s to be a seemingly long court deliberation, only time holds the fate of Brian Flores and his career in the NFL.
