The New England Patriots have suffered back-to-back losses of more than 30 points and have managed just one field goal over the course of the past three games thanks to some pretty poor play from quarterback Mac Jones. But the team isn’t willing to make any changes at the quarterback position just yet.

On Wednesday morning, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick announced during his press conference that Mac Jones would remain the team’s starter during this week’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday afternoon.

“Yeah, we’re not making any changes,” Belichick told reporters during his press conference on Wednesday morning, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Jones has struggled mightily this season, but he’s been especially ineffective the past two weeks. Not only has he failed to lead the offense to a touchdown in either of the team’s past two games, but he’s also thrown four interceptions in the lopsided losses.

We’ll have to see whether or not Jones can bounce back from the two disappointing showings against the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints. Otherwise, there’s an increasingly strong chance that the team could choose to explore other options at the quarterback position in the near future.
