The offensive capabilities were lacking from the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday after they fell to the Tennessee Titans, 27-3.
It was another rough outing for quarterback Joe Burrow, who said the execution from his offense wasn’t even close to winning the game as they had in the past.
Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase made it known that he was always available, and will continue to be open, when it comes to running routes.
When asked after the game if he felt as if he had less time to get open or create space, Chase quickly said absolutely not.
“No,” he said. “I’m open. I’m always ******* open. Excuse my profanity.”
Burrow was sacked three times on Sunday and Chase recorded seven receptions on nine targets for 73 yards.
The offense as a whole was underwhelming, to say the least. Still, Chase was coming off a strong performance on Monday night with 12 receptions for 141 yards against the Los Angeles Rams.
Heading into this season, Chase had one goal: To be unstoppable.
“I got to go into the game not being stopped,” he said previously in an interview with Fox Sports. “They might slow me down, but you know, I got to get mine if somebody’s going to get me. There’s no ifs and or buts about it.”
