The Baltimore Ravens and star quarterback Lamar Jackson are eager to get over the hump and finally reach the Super Bowl for the first time in Jackson’s career. Jackson is eager to prove he has what it takes, but regardless of how good the two-time MVP winner is, he’ll need the defense to do its part as well for the team to have a legitimate crack at the Lombardi Trophy.
Unfortunately, the Ravens have lost an emerging talent before the regular season even got underway, according to one prominent league insider.
“Ravens rookie CB Bilhal Kone tore his ACL and MCL in tonight’s preseason game vs the #Colts, per sources. The 6th-rounder out of Western Michigan was having an excellent camp and will now miss the entire 2025 season,” reported Jordan Schultz on Thursday.
Fans reacted to the brutal development on social media.
“That is such a shame, brutal injury! Absolute worst part of the NFL. Hope he is doing okay and has a smooth recovery,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Always got 1 CB that has a injury redhshirt season. Feel for him. He was playin pretty solid,” someone else added.
“Weird injury, just one of those that happen,” one fan added.
Hopefully, Kone makes a full recovery and comes back next season stronger than ever.
