The Green Bay Packers are in London, England for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. But before that gets underway, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is enjoying his time in town and taking in a soccer match while hanging out with a major TV star.
Rodgers was spotted at Wembley Stadium where he was watching an international friendly between the England and United States women’s national teams. The MVP was also seen hobnobbing with Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis.
England defeated the United States 2-1 in the match, so it doesn’t appear that the U.S. team was too inspired by the A-list crowd.
Rodgers perhaps wishes this could have been a chance to scout the field he’ll play on but the game is slated for Tottenham Hotspur Stadium instead. The Packers and Giants both come into the game at 3-1, so it’s a chance for either to prove they’re for real in the very early NFC playoff race. Surprisingly, the two teams’ combined .750 win percentage is the highest of any international game played in Week 4 or after.
No word on whether or not Sudeikis will be on-hand for that NFL game, but we’re guessing he inquired about tickets with the Green Bay star.
