The biggest story in the NFL right now remains the trade negotiations between the Green Bay Packers and the New York Jets after star quarterback Aaron Rodgers made it clear he wants to leave the team and seek a trade to the Jets. But Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy made it pretty clear he doesn’t want to talk about it.
Tech Summit at Lambeau Field on Monday, Mark Murphy couldn’t help but address the situation, but he said he was “sworn to secrecy” and would not talk about it.
“Yeah and you know, we’ve got no other news really going on,” Murphy said with a laugh according to Fox 11. “I would love to tell you everything you want to know about Aaron Rodgers and the Jets but I’m sworn to secrecy not to say anything.”
“Yeah, I mean if things don’t work out the way we would want them yeah,” Murphy said. “He’s obviously a great player and four-time MVP but you know, I think it’s trying to find what he wants and what we want and hopefully we can find a win-win situation.”
